Actions: Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antirheumatic, antacid, astringent, febrifuge, sudorific, solvent, antispasmodic, dewormer, diuretic, stomachic and hemostatic.
Uses: Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to relieve headaches, migraines, inflammatory pain, minor joint pain (due to osteoarthritis) and for the short term relief of lower back pain.
This bark naturally contains salicylic acid (a synthesized ingredient of aspirin) and has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and pain relief properties. But, unlike aspirin, it does not thin the blood or irritate the lining of the stomach (a common side effect of aspirin).

- Chronic joint, muscle or tendon pain.

- Fevers (diaphoretic), makes you sweat to release excess heat.

Ingredient: White willow, (Salix alba), organic dried bark.
Directions for use: (Adults) Infusion: 1 tablespoon in 1 cup of boiling water, steep for 15 to 20 minutes, drink 1 cup 2 to 3 times a day. Or as a decoction; Simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes, about 20g of bark (a small handful) in 1 liter of boiling water, remove from heat, cover and let steep for 20 minutes. Filter and drink ½ to 1 cup 2 to 3 / day. (Keep in the fridge). Optional; sweeten lightly with stevia, honey or maple syrup (to taste).

Contraindications: If you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid (ASA, Aspirin) or other salicylates, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use this plant.
