• ORGANIC GUNPOWDER GREEN TEA (Camelia sinensis)

Properties: Antioxidants, diuretic and astringent.

This Organic Gunpowder Green Tea is a rich tasting tea that is rolled into small balls. Its name Gunpowder is due to its resemblance to the pellets used for gunpowder ammunitions in the 17th century. Originally its leaves were tightly rolled to preserve freshness and maintain moisture during long voyages overseas. It is an incomparable fresh tea that has a dark color and a striking taste.

Aroma and flavor: A deeply green aroma with a deep, well-rounded tannic flavor.

Qualities: Rich in antioxidants (polyphenols; catechins, theaflavins and thearubigins), these molecules protect the cells of the body from damage caused by free radicals. These are very reactive molecules that would be involved in the development of cardiovascular diseases, certains cancers and other diseases related to aging. The catechins in green tea can help with a slight decrease in body weight and fat percentage caused by an increase in metabolism.
