Latte d'oro (Organic Beverage)

The latte d'oro (or golden milk) is a popular beverage made from a blend of turmeric and spices with cow's milk or a plant-based beverage (soy, oat, or almond) added. Our recipe for this organic golden turmeric powder also contains ashwagandha root (Indian ginseng, a toning adaptogenic plant), ginger, pepper, and date sugar to give it a smooth, flavorful taste. This golden, warming beverage with a comforting taste is good for the health of the body and mind. (Contains no caffeine).

Directions for use: Mix one teaspoon (3 to 3.5 g) into 1 cup of milk or a plant-based beverage. Whisk well with a small whisk or mix in a shaker. Can be drunk cold, or the whole mixture can be gently heated.

Optional: add 1/8 tsp of vegetable oil* such as flaxseed, camelina, or canola oil. You can also add cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla, maple syrup, etc., to taste.

Can be added to smoothies or chai tea.

*If consumed with a meal that contains fat, it will not be necessary to add oil (fats, especially omega-3 fatty acids, promote the absorption of curcumin).

Storage: Store away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. If transferred to a jar, store in a dark, dry place.
