Behind the plants, there are people just like you!
Our family-run herbal farm is, above all, about passionate people,
humans who adore nature and who aspire to nurturing and enjoyable human relationships!
And most importantly, they are people who understand you:
Stress, chronic illness, skin problems, breastfeeding difficulties, fungal infection, pneumonia, gallstones...At one point or another along the way, we too have reached a wall, with the impression that the conventional healthcare system could do more for us...
Until one day, a garden...
Our team
To work under the banner of the phoenix, you need a fire team! A farm manager herbalist, a biologist, a budding young herbalist, and an enthusiastic CRIFA intern!

And the rest of the family
Children are "Val'Horous" too !
La Val'Heureuse from 1999 to the present

1999
Creation of La Val'heureuse Gardens
In 1999, Johanne Lemire and François Benoît decided to produce their own natural health products. They then founded Jardins La Val'heureuse with a commitment to the highest quality.

2004
The arrival of Natural Product Numbers (NPNs)
From 2004 onwards, NPNs became mandatory. La Val'Heureuse obtained its marketing licenses for an already extensive range, eventually encompassing 60 NPNs, all within lush gardens!

2012
Diversity !
The company's first ten years were rich in innovations! Ranges in herbal medicine, aromatherapy, soaps, medicinal herbal teas... Another area of diversity was that of living things : Plants, birds, insects and small mammals live in harmony!

2016
Birth of the website
A significant milestone for the company: Val'heureuse has launched its online presence. Already distributed throughout Canada, its liquid concentrates, medicinal oils, ointments, and herbal teas are now reaching a wider audience, including in Europe!

2022
Desire to pass on
After more than 20 years in business, the founders searched unsuccessfully for a buyer. Finally, the application of Laetitia Beaumel and Pierre Barrellon was accepted. A takeover process then began, which would last three years.

2025
Resumption of operations
Laetitia Beaumel and Pierre Barrellon have become the owners of the business. This first year of takeover is dedicated to numerous structural works (shop, lab, gardens, accounting, etc.) while also reintegrating the farm into a more open approach!

2026
A second youth!
After a year of recovery, it's time for change: new image, new website, new distribution to professionals and the launch of our herbalism training courses!!!
Health begins outside
In the fields
In our products, you will find many local or acclimatized plants that grow in Quebec. The vast majority of these are cultivated with respect and care on our farm in the Eastern Townships (QC, Canada)!

Hand-picked
We cultivate small plots of land, on a human scale. We harvest our plants at the peak of their quality, and we select the best of them.
We produce small batches, which allows us to achieve unparalleled quality!

The best quality
The quality of our plants is essential. Our estate is certified organic by Ecocert. We use neither chemical fertilizers nor toxic pesticides. The land at La Val'heureuse has always been managed organically.
The analyses carried out on our products allow us to guarantee the near absence of chemical contaminants!

Make way for biodiversity
La Val'Heureuse is more than a field, it's more than a garden. It's the habitat of numerous animal, plant, fungal and microbial species.
We cultivate some plants, but for others, the strategy is different: we promote the development of native plants by improving their habitat.
This leads to the development of rich ecosystems!
