Actions: Carminative, gas, colic, antispasmodic, bloating, digestive, stomach, expectorant and galactogen (stimulates lactation).

Indications: Traditionally used in herbal medicine to help relieve digestive disorders including bloating and flatulence (carminative), to help relieve menstrual pain (antispasmodic), to stimulate lactation (galactogen) and as an expectorant to help relieve coughs due to colds.

Ingredient: Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) organic whole seeds.

Dosage adults: Infuse a full teaspoon of seeds in a cup of boiling water, cover, infuse 5 minutes and filter.  Drink 1 cup (250ml) of 1 to 3 cups per day, after meals.

Duration of use: Consult a health care practitioner if use extends beyond 2 weeks 

Optional: Can be combined with other digestive plants such as mint, lemon balm, artichoke... Sweeten lightly with honey or maple syrup (to taste).

Cautions: Consult a health care practitioner (herbalist, naturopath, pharmacist, nurse or doctor) before using this plant if you are pregnant, if you are taking medication or if your symptoms persist or worsen. Do not use in case of allergy to anethole or plants belonging to the Apiaceae/Carrot family. Stop use if hypersensitivity/allergy occurs.
