Actions: Respiratory tonic, stimulates the immune system, antiseptic, antitussive, expectorant, fungicide and vermifuge.

Indications: Traditionally used in phytotherapy as a tonic of the respiratory system and as an expectorant to help relieve coughs and minor affections of the respiratory system and traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a diuretic.                                                                

• Tones the respiratory system.
• Expectorant, cough suppressant, cleans and soothes the respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis, cough, bronchial asthma).
• Antiseptic, stimulates the immune system, during viral infections (flu).
• Effective antifungal and vermifuge.
• Antiseptic diuretic, bactericide.
• Rich in inulin, helps to balance the blood sugar level in cases of type 2 diabetes (before hypoglycemic medication).
• Digestive tonic.

Ingredient: Elecampane (Inula helenium) organic dried roots.

Directions for use: Infusion: 1 teaspoon in 1 cup of boiling water, let infuse 15 to 20 minutes, drink 1 cup 2 times a day. Decoction; Simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes, about 20g of roots (a small handful) in 1 liter of boiling water, remove from heat, cover and let infuse for 30 minutes. Filter and drink ½ at 1 cup 2 to 3 /day. (Keep in the fridge).

Optional; sweeten lightly with honey or maple syrup (to taste).

Can be combined: With echinacea, horehound or holy basil if beginning of cold with cough. Can also be combined with one of these plants, as a dewormer, in case of parasites (worms); feverfew, mugwort, wormwood, figwort or blue verbena.

Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant. Do not use in case of allergy to the plant family Asteraceae / Compositae / Daisies. If allergy occurs, discontinue use.
