ORGANIC EARL GREY BLACK TEA
Properties: Antioxidants, diuretic and astringent.
Origin - history: There are several historical versions about its origins, but the most popular is that bergamot was added to the black tea served at the home of Charles Grey (1764-1845), the 2nd Earl of Grey, to help combat the taste of limestone in the estate's water. Another legend tells that Charles Grey was once given a bergamot orange fruit, and not knowing how to use it, he cut a piece and put it in the cup of black tea he was drinking. Lady Grey then served this bergamot-flavored black tea at a reception in London and from there it became popular and began to spread among the British aristocracy. Elegance would be to drink it with a cloud of milk with your the little finger up!
