Antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antilithiasis, diuretic, fungicide, urinary tonic and astringent.

Actions: Traditionally used as a diuretic, urinary antiseptic and to treat urinary tract infections, especially with mucous discharge or blood in the urine. Reduces inflammation of the urinary tract (cystitis, painful urination, lithuria (urinary stones), urethritis and especially for acute catarrhal cystitis with dysuria and very acidic urine).

• Anti-inflammatory / Urinary pain during cystitis / Prostatitis.
• Reduces symptoms of arthritic gout (helps lower uric acid).

Ingredient: Organic dried leaves of Uva ursi (Bearberry) (Arctostaphylos uva ursi).

Dosage (Adults only): Infuse a level tablespoon in a cup of boiling water, cover, steep for 5 minutes and strain. Drink 1 to 3 cups a day. Optional: add a little honey or maple syrup (to taste).

Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or if you have chronic kidney disease, gastrointestinal inflammation or ulcerations.

Precautions: Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.

Known adverse reactions: Gastrointestinal discomfort, urine may turn greenish.

Interaction with food: For better effectiveness on cystitis with acidic urine, do not use with acidic fruits and their juices (orange, cranberry). The effect of arbutin in bearberry is optimal when the urine is alkaline, so that it is effective as a urinary antiseptic.

Drug Interactions: This product may interact with other drugs given at the same time, especially those that have similar or opposite effects. Avoid taking with drugs that acidify the urine.
