Healing, alterative, lymphatic tonic, fungicide, antibacterial, antiviral, immunomodulator, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, antispasmodic, cholagogue, antioxidant, estrogenic, emmenagogue, vulnerary and astringent.

In herbal tea (internal use): The calendula is traditionally used in herbal medicine to help relieve inflammatory diseases of the digestive system such as gastritis and chronic colitis, its healing and emollient effects help relieve gastric or duodenal ulcer and for the ulcerative colitis. Calendula flowers (marigold) have antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activity. They also have an alternative effect (depurative blood) acting as a tonic of the lymphatic system and helps eliminate waste from the body and restore the proper functioning of the digestive system of the liver and gallbladder. Its gentle emollient action helps to moisturize and soothe the digestive tissue.

In herbal tea (external use): its healing, emollient, antibacterial and fungicidal effects. It will be effective, applies as a compress for irritated skin, eczema, or vaginal douche. It can also be used in rinses or gargles for gum problems.

• Antispasmodic, emollient and anti-inflammatory of the digestive system.
• Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, chronic colitis and ulcerative colitis.
• Hepatoprotective, and cholagogue (helps increase hepatic bile flow to the intestines) jaundice, infectious hepatitis and liver disorders.
• Antispasmodic (relieves spasms or cramps of the stomach or intestinal tract)
• Astringent (it is a binding agent that contracts the body tissues, reducing secretions or discharges of mucus and fluid from the body) useful during diarrhea.
• Regulates menstruation, reduces menstrual pain and hot flashes during menopause.

Ingredients: Dried organic flower of calendula Calendula officinalis.

Dosage herbal tea: Infuse a table spoon into a cup of boiling water, cover, steep for 5 minutes and filter.

In internal use; Drink 2 to 4 cups a day.

In external use; this herbal tea is used in lotion, hair lotion, vaginal douche (Candida), compress or mouthwash.

Cautions:  Do not use if you are pregnant (in internal or vaginal use). Do not use in case of allergy to the Asteraceae / Compositae / Daisy family.

To make medicinal oil:

• Put about 1 cup or 250ml (packed) of dried calendula flowers in a pan (in a bain-marie) or an electric slow cooker.
• Add about 2 to 3 cups of vegetable oil either olive or sweet almond oil (enough to coat the flowers). Allow to heat for a minimum of 3 to 6 hours. (With supervision)
• Remove from heat, let cool a little.
• Sift with a sieve into another pan and then filter this oil with a cotton-like cloth, nylon stocking ... into another container.
• Place the remaining infused flowers in the tissue and twist it over this other container.
• Using a funnel, pour this filtered oil into a sterile dark glass bottle. Keep cool in the dark. Can be kept a few months.

To make an ointment:

• In a pan (in a bain-marie) or in an electric slow cooker, add a little beeswax (about 50g per 500ml of macerated oil) in the filtered calendula oil. Heat slightly for a few minutes, let the wax melt. (With supervision)
• When the wax is melted, pour into a heat-resistant amber glass jar, when this mixture cools, it will solidify.

Medicinal oil or calendula ointment is used for topical massage on the skin:
