Actions: Digestive, stomachic, carminative, febrifuge, calming, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, refreshing and pectoral.
Indications: The mint tea has a digestive action but a little less powerful than peppermint, its taste is more delicate, less strong. Spearmint should be considered a softer and calmer solution to treat indigestion, pain caused by gas and nausea. It is more soothing than peppermint which can be a little exciting. This herbal tea is especially used in cases of infantile fevers. Not as vigorous as peppermint, spearmint will stimulate perspiration, so it is indicated in mild to moderate fevers if the skin is warm and dry (may accompany yarrow and / or catnip in infantile fevers). Refreshing in summer, drink it icy, add it in your gourd during sports activities (with nettle and oats to replace the lost minerals by sweating).
